March Social Pit Stop at RISU
Please gather for our LAST Social Pit Stop before our 49th Long Beach Grand Prix at RISÜ in downtown Long Beach (207 East Seaside Way). The restaurant is best known for its OUTDOOR patio venue – creating and serving cocktails, fine wines, and gourmet American-style tapas and meals in a fun and enjoyable atmosphere.
RISÜ is located on the elevated walkway above Seaside Way, between the Convention Center and the Performing Arts Center (a rock throw from our Grand Prix race circuit). The CLOSEST parking is at the surface lot at Pine Avenue and Seaside Way ($7.50 for 2 hours). From there walk one block East along Seaside Way to the corner of Seaside Way and Locust Ave. Enter RISÜ from the corner of Seaside Way and Locust Avenue. It’s on the second level of The Crest Apartments (just take the elevator up to the second level). The CHEAPEST parking is in Lot C on 3rd Street at Pine Avenue (Free for 1st 2 hours, $2 per half-hour after). Walk down Pine crossing Ocean and turn left on the walkway behind Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse. (More Parking Info)

November C300 Social Activity
Join us on Friday, November 17th at 6 pm for our November Activity. We will gather in friendship and camaraderie at The Pub on the Joint Forces Training Base to express our gratitude to the men and women who have honorably served our country.
The Joint Forces Training Base (4745 Yorktown Ave., Bldg. 19, Los Alamitos) is home to the California National Guard which includes the 40th Infantry Division, the Los Alamitos Army Airfield, and the Sunburst Youth Academy. The base is closely connected to its neighboring communities of Los Alamitos, Cypress, Seal Beach, and Garden Grove. Major events are hosted at the base each year such as the annual Race on the Base in February and the Fourth of July celebration.
Halloween Cemetery Tour
Join your fellow Redcoats on October 28 for this all-ages event featuring graveside performances by community theater actors in period costumes portraying the life of the person lying at rest. The event includes a variety of stories: Some individuals helped shape the city’s political past. Others are ordinary people whose tales remind us that rich or poor, famed or nearly forgotten, everyone has a story to tell. Meet at the 1151 E. Willow Street entrance at 11am to tour together. Movie Night – Gran Turismo
Let’s go to the movies with your fellow Redcoats to see a premiere-week showing of Gran Turismo at the Marina Pacifica Theaters on Friday, August 24. This movie, based on real life, shows how a young man parlays his auto racing video game skills into becoming an actual driver. Click the link (link) or scan the code below to order your tickets. Sultans Car Show
Calling all Committee of 300 Redcoats to attend the Sultan’s Car show on Saturday, August 5 at St. Timothy Lutheran Church (4645 Woodruff Ave, Lakewood). We will promote C300 membership and we need volunteers to help man the table from 8:00am to 3:00pm. We also need some members to help set up and to walk around and engage attendees who might not stop by the table. The show is free to attend; the registration fee applies to car owners who wish to compete for prizes.

Join us for the Ultimate Committee of 300 “Old School” Picnic with FUN & GAMES for Members! This is a great chance to mingle with our fellow members while enjoying the nice summer breeze with great food and company. We will furnish burgers (beef & veggie), hot dogs (beef only), buns, condiments, soft drinks and water. Be sure to bring your own chairs and blanket. You are welcome to bring a dish to share, just like an Old School Picnic.

RSVP by July 10 (LINK) to attend the President’s Celebration on July 15 at 6pm at the Lions Automobilia Foundation Museum. Enjoy a full-course dinner catered by the Naples Rib Company and celebrate the Committee of 300’s accomplishments of the past year and the initiatives for the coming year. You will have ample time to tour the museum which features hot rods, race cars, and beautifully restored classic cars displayed in movie-like settings. Beach Cleanup at Bolsa Chica
Join the Committee of 300 for a Beach Cleanup community service event at Bolsa Chica Beach at 9 am this Saturday morning, June 17.
ENTRANCE/PARKING: Enter through the main gate at Bolsa Chica State Beach (17851 PCH, HB, CA, 92649) between Seapoint and Warner. (See map below.) To receive free parking, let the entrance attendant know you are there with Committee of 300 for a beach cleanup. Keep to the right and follow the park road to the second parking lot you pass, next to Tower 21 and the basketball courts. Park here.
CHECK-IN: . We’ll gather near Sea Salt in Bolsa Chica State Beach and then walk over to the Lifeguard Headquarters/Visitor Center to check-in with staff.
CLEANUP: Staff will give us an orientation, pass out supplies, and direct us down the beach. At 11:45 we will meet back at check-in to take a group photo, weigh and dump our trash, and wash up.
POST CLEANUP: We are free to enjoy the beach after the cleanup.
