The Committee of 300 of Long Beach (C300) invites you to be part of one of the city’s most iconic traditions – the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach, happening April 16-18, 2027.
As the official volunteer organization of the Grand Prix, our members known as the Redcoats, help welcome thousands of race fans, support event operations, and represent the spirit of Long Beach.

Volunteer Role: Grandstand Ambassador
Our primary volunteer role is the Grandstand Ambassador, responsible for greeting guests, assisting attendees, and supporting race-day operations.
Age Requirement: Volunteer must be over 18 years old.
Shift Details
- Dates: Saturday, April 17 & Sunday, April 18, 2027
- Check-in: 6:30 AM
- Report to Grandstand: 7:30 AM
- Shift Hours: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Lunch & water provided daily
Dress Code
Volunteers receive an official Grand Prix T-shirt and must wear:
- Black pants (men)
- Black bottoms: pants, skirt or knee-length shorts (women)
- Comfortable black shoes

Students Receive:
- Lunch and water provided daily
- Receive an official Grand Prix volunteer T‑shirt
- Letter of participation for community service hours
- Hands-on event experience

Organizations can share our volunteer link with their networks or include our flyer in newsletters and e-blasts. Volunteers age requirement is 18 and over.
HOW TO SIGN UP
Step 1: Complete the online form
All volunteers must register using our official intake form, click HERE
Step 2: Attend Mandatory Orientation
All Grandstand Ambassadors must attend. Exact date are coming soon.
- Race Orientation, Date TBD (Mid March 2027)
- Track Walk & Orientation, Date TBD (Early April)
- Credentialing Day, Date TBD (Early April)
Step 3: Race Weekend Participation
Arrive early, check in, and enjoy being part of the action. You will be assigned to a grandstand and a C300 captain. Be ready to be on your feet
Step 4: Volunteer Acknowledgment & Physical Capability Confirmation
- I understand that I must check in by 6:30 AM and report to my assigned Grandstand no later than 7:30 AM.
- I acknowledge that volunteer shifts are scheduled from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM on assigned race day(s).
- I understand that the role of Grandstand Ambassador requires me to be on my feet for most of the shift, including standing and walking, and I confirm that I am physically able to perform these duties.
- I acknowledge and agree to comply with all Committee of 300 policies regarding required attire, conduct,professionalism, and credential use.
- Permission to ecord participation and appearance on videotape, audiotape, film, photograph or any other medium to use for C300 marketing purposes.
